best round so far

i played this game once then was like "neat game but looks to limited" but I just kept coming back to it over and over again, it's just so simple yet so genius in it's design, I've sunk more than 3 hours to it, which is pretty crazy for a web game on itch.io, anyway thanks for making the best game ever, here's the best build i ever made and also the farthest round i ever got.

Nice, great game. I would recommend adding some particles for polish and coloring the bodyguards slightly differently from the player, because it is sometimes hard to distinguish yourself.

Similar to just kin

Just got to round 27, build: Athlete, Strong, Creative, Brute

3 Strong in one side to open space for escape, Skater go in between Goon and Guitarist because 2 long hand should be separated. (sorry for bad English)

Nice Game

Just got to round 25, here's the best strategy I've found:
(first of all, since you will eventually max out at six units, try to avoid all brute units and only go for units that have two of either Athlete, Strong, Pro, and Creative, as this is the best possible combo of traits.)
Wave 1. Get either bodybuilder, skater, or boxer (we are trying to get all athletes as our first three units)
Wave 2. Get another athlete
Wave 3. Get the last athlete you need for the trait
From this point on, try to focus on filling out other traits as you get new units, one at a time. Creative or Pro would be good ones to get next, as this includes the Assassin who is OP (can one-shot zombies once he gets pro upgrade.) Once you get at least 4 units or maybe five, the absolute best strategy is to stay in one of the bottom corners without moving. You want to put your best units on the outside where most of the zombies are attacking from. After you have all six units (assassin, bodybuilder, boxer, skater, blacksmith, & bouncer) and all 4 traits are unlocked, the best units to put on the outside where zombies are attacking from are the Boxer (very fast), Assassin (one-shots), and Bouncer (affected by all of the 4 traits). Use this strat to survive as many waves as possible.
The hardest part of this strategy is surviving waves 5-16 or around there. Once you get the hang of it though, you should breeze through.
Hope this helped :)

My personal guide:

Turn 1: Get Skateboarder, Blacksmith, or the 5 costs, if none are available then die.

Turn 2: Still buy available 5 costs unless you need money for Skateboarder or Blacksmith

Turn 3/4: If you have Assassin in shop and have money; then get him. If not continue turn 2

Turn 5: You should have Skateboarder/Blacksmith, Blacksmith/Assassin and Chef/Guitarist. If you have available capital then get Boxer.

Turns 6-8: Make sure you have Skateboarder, Blacksmith, Assassin, and Boxer.

Turn 9: PRAY

Turn 10: Get Bodybuilder

Turns 11-14: Wait

Turn 15: Get Bouncer (Edit: Instead, replace Boxer and Blacksmith with Guitarist, Goon, and Mall Cop).

Turns 16-???: Wait for inevitable death

Thank you for reading my guide.

YES! BTW, it's better to get Bodybuilder in turns 6-8 rather than Boxer because Boxer does 3 damage versus Bodybuilder dealing 5. Also, I love to just stand in a corner with my most powerful guards facing outwards. Movement is really hard when you have a TON of enemies

(1 edit) (+1)

Boxer has a faster attack speed which allows it to knockback quicker which is why I prefer it, but Bodybuilder also has a larger hitbox. Either method is good, it's just the method I prefer.

can not pass Turn 9

Nice game, one of the ones in whick you experiment to get the best setup for yourself. There is no (or i hadn't found one) winning strategy.

Overall, I pent with this game a lot of time :) ...and i don't regret it

Can you tell me what the font used in this game?

(1 edit) (+4)

All your games need mods

Which engine did you use for this game? Is this game possible to modify to add more guards?

I used dev tools and there is text "godot" everywhere, so i guess you used godot lol. Can you share this game's source code? pleeeaaasseeeee :p

-_- it says it under more info

Nice concept

It's a bit hard tho...

Very cool, reminds me of brotato

I managed to reach round ten after 4-5 hours of cumulated play. After that it was quite easy with the six bodyguards and I went up to round 21 in one go!
Thanks for the game!

damn another good one! I echo what folks below say, it's too hard and probly needs a bit more variety/synergy but damn it's super fun and great concept

awesome game!
Its crazy hard after the first 7 rounds but its still a fun game to play, my pb is round 9 and im sure i can't reach anything higher than that, but i think the game would better if u added more weapons

Good start. Would really be great if at a bare minimum you could freeze some guys. It's hard to synergize right now.

reached round 8! it gets super addictive

(1 edit)

I played this game a while (10 ish run), best I could do is 9 round. I wish there was a invincibility frame window after getting hit. Also I don't know how you can avoid being overrun by zombies after a few rounds, there's no path out of a crowd and the bodyguards don't really create one. Cool concept otherwise! Thanks for the game.

Can you do a tutorial on ytb to create this type of game please

A lot of depth for such simple mechanics. Great job
