You see the archers miss point blank shots and then you see them making the 720 no scope full map.

Very cool B) I played all of kindanice's games and so far this is the best

Its Weird how much I enjoyed this, I got so invested. I do wish there was more options for your fighters to upgrade into as they level up.

Great game, reminds me of stuff like Conway's game of life and stuff like that.

Wish it was a bit longer, though. It makes sense that it is short though since it was for a game jam, but maybe kindanice could make a longer version and label this one as the game jam version.

get mage early game it’s the best one, level 11+ always deals 100 or more damage can one shot the king

i was on a journey to try level up a mage and see if theres anything after because idk they kept dying, finally got one on the second choice after a massacre in round one, this madman was the sole survivor of the next two rounds, killing 3 people all by himself in both followed by him once again being the sole survivor of the final battle, may they record your name in the history books Haimengarde the Weak, all though you were anything but that.

(he was still less accurate than a blind man though)

nice game. I really enjoyed the thrill of watching the archers hitting 1/10 shots and hoping everytime that my balls are spared.

Hilarious game! The medieval theme + live chat is such a unique and fun idea. The music and execution is also super clean. :)

Love the music! Simple yet very pleasant. Did you use Snes instruments?
Also the chat is funny lol. How'd you do that?

ay man great game love the idea

You have a real knack for finding extremely fun and fertile ideas. As ever, would love to see more.

Thought: what would happen if weapons could deflect projectiles?

hey mind sharing how you made this drop shadow effect in godot? i tried doing with duplicating the sprite and setting the modulate but it doest seem right t_t

(+1)

duplicate the sprite, put it on a lower z index, offset it a bit, and set the modulate to pure black with alpha around 80 :)

hm yes thats how i do it but the shadows overlap each other and the rotation doest work and also doubles the draw calls, i wish viewports werent  so bad

Simple but fun. This proves that a good gameplay loop can easily outshine something such as graphics. Good job.

I like steven

he is my fav charater

I really enjoy all of your games for their simple, clear, well-executed concepts. This is no exception. Who knew hitboxes, hurtboxes, and random spinning could be so mesmerising?

Major thought to take this out of prototype into production would be to work on game balance -- at the moment, picking highest HP each time leads you to defeating Kings Army. Each attribute should have some weight toward a total challenge score, and decisions between two options should be difficult to make in terms of coming to understand the tradeoffs involved.

Minor thought: make the HP sliders same colour as the team. Pink sliders when facing a pink enemy threw me for a moment.

Please keep making these kinds of games You are an inspiration to those of us who are also looking to rapidly prototype fun new game mechanics. Every one of your games so far is a "wish I'd thought of that" moment, and also fun to play.

this is such a kind and well thought out comment, thanks so much. stuff like this keeps me going

I love this little game, I seriously don't understand the complaints of it getting boring because even when losing, it's pretty funny to watch this little balls just ram into each other with little knives and bows. Also, nerf Steven.

(+2)

thank you, this made my day :)

(+2)

thanks for the feedback everyone :) for me, the spirit of the game is more of a silly experience where you sit back and watch the chaos. i'm making some changes to make that more clear

(+2)

It looks super polished and it was a nice experience, but because of the lack of control and the randomness I lost the motivation to play again quite quickly. I feel that if you could at least control one of your team members and the rest does their thing it would be more fun.

I did defeat The King's Army though :-)
